When tires are stacked in a warehouse or tightly banded for shipping, the sidewalls can get compressed, causing the beads to be too close together for a tire bead seater to effectively seat the beads. In such situations, a tire bead seater ring may be necessary, as the proximity of the sidewalls means that significantly more air is needed to be retained inside the tire. This additional air creates enough force on the sidewalls to hold the beads firmly against the rim, ensuring proper seating with the tire ring bead seater.
